It sounds rather grand to say we own a farmhouse, when in reality it’s just a very old house that happened to once be a farm. However it has a self-contained annex that was put on in the 1970’s and a farm building that we converted into a small cottage in 2018. Together with renting out the spare-room, we effectively have three rental incomes, but have not had to go down the Buy-to-Let route, and this has been an extremely ‘good value’ investment.
