The rate of change and adoption is rapid (Moore’s law was quoted to me when I bought my first PC’s for a company back in the 1900’s) and whilst I’m not a complete technical nerd, I do embrace technology and manage my finances online. My current interest is in the developments and opportunities around open banking, and how this demystifies your finances.
Caveat against this, I was always incredibly worried for my parent’s and inlaw’s vulnerability to scamming, and believe there is still a risk if you’re not careful. It’s ironic that I’m writing a book given my love of technology, but realistically (to mis-quote Steve Wright) “I’ve not got a face for YouTube” – and I thought I’d stick with what I was comfortable with!
